Johan Cruijff Arena

For the Johan Cruijff ArenA, we created a series of designs for 'Icons of Amsterdam', together with Virgil Sana. A tribute to the people who helped shape the city and contributed to its culture, character and identity. From resistance fighters and pioneers to artists, football icons and global stars. Each portrait tells a different part of Amsterdam’s story and represents someone who left a lasting mark on the city. Created for Amsterdam’s 750th anniversary, the designs were applied across the pillars and throughout the entire passage beneath the ArenA, turning the space into a visual tribute to the city, Ajax and Amsterdam Zuidoost.
